Training and development program for graduates in the field of electrical engineering

MINDA is offering a training and development program for graduates in the field of electrical engineering. With this TRAINEE, university graduates can expand their practical skills being indispensable for their work as an engineer.

Steve Fodju receives a certificate for his trainee modules from Friedhelm Schröder, Head of Electrical Engineering.

Since 2022, Steve Renaud Mabou Fodju has been taking advantage of this opportunity to start his career after completing his master's degree in electrical engineering at the TU Kaiserslautern.

Having not done full programming from start to finish during his studies, he was grateful for MINDA's practice-oriented offer.

Steve completed four consecutive training modules in a very intensive training. In the first phase, the so-called workshop phase, he wired modules in the control cabinet and learned how to work with MINDA wiring diagrams and assemblies. This also included a testing of the functions and measuring as well as creating logs. "Finding errors in the control cabinet are a good prerequisite for programming," the sympathetic colleague notes.

In the second module, Steve completed a short practical training in mechanics. He electrically upgraded conveyors that find their use in the corrugated industry.

In the commissioning and service phase, he participated in in-house start-ups and at customers' sites in Germany and France. It was the aim to be able to start-up smaller lines and carry out service interventions independently.

In his current module, Steve is now working in the electrical engineering field. In addition to hardware specifications for the technical system planners, he also creates PLC software.

With the completion of this final module, nothing stands in his way to have a seamless transition into his job.

Steve, being originally from Cameroon, is very grateful to his parents for enabling him to study in Germany. They had to put up with many hardships to do so.

He earned his bachelor's degree from the University in Mannheim and after completing his master's degree, he was hired by MINDA. We get to know him as a passionate, determined and eager-to-learn colleague who is working his way into his future tasks with great commitment. Not only does he feel well cared for at the company, but also very comfortable.

With a smile on his face, he says he would like to encourage prospective students after graduation to also go this path via a TrainEE program.

We wish Steve a good start into his professional life at MINDA. Very personally we wish him that a family reunion will be possible. He is married and has two sons at the age of 1 and 4. He wants so much to have his family with him and see his children grow up.

Not to forget the support of his colleagues from the electrical engineering, who actively helped him to find an apartment, for example.
